Sitting back in the lush leather seat of the limo, Harper watched the passing neighborhood buildings through the window. She tried not to squirm, but it was impossible to ignore the burning sensation between her legs. Crossing her legs didn’t help — if anything it made it worse. Unfortunately, the problem wasn’t caused by Hoyt’s decision to keep her from having an orgasm. That would have been easy enough to deal with. Her current situation was the direct result of a sadistic aesthetician who waxed Harper’s nether regions per Hoyt’s request.

Who was Harper kidding? Hoyt didn’t make requests, he issued orders.

Glen pulled the car in front of Hoyt’s building and opened the door for Harper. She burst out of the car and hurried to the front door, sweeping into the building before the chauffer could share any other directives from Hoyt. If she didn’t hear them, then she wasn’t disobeying.

Harper couldn’t get to the penthouse loft fast enough. As soon as the elevator doors slid closed, she leaned back against the wall and spread her legs, using the front of the wrap dress Hoyt chose for her that morning to fan between her legs. It didn’t do much by way of helping.

Once inside the penthouse, Harper hastened to the bedroom she slept in the night before and threw herself back on the bed. Her legs parted and she hoisted the dress high up over her waist. And yet still there was no noticeable improvement to the irritation between her legs.

Her forearm covered her eyes and she took a deep breath. She might have been able to last through not touching without the waxing, but her skin was too tender for her to be able to fight through the urge to soothe the inflamed skin.

Harper cursed Hoyt. She added as many epithets to his name as her imagination could come up with and screamed them into the empty room.

It didn’t make her feel any better.

A look at the clock told her she had twenty minutes before Hoyt showed up.

Twenty minutes. More than enough time to take care of things and then get rid of the evidence. She could do it in five minutes if she had to. Wouldn’t be the most satisfying orgasm in her life, but at this point any orgasm could be considered satisfying.

Her hands found their way to her hips, like they had a mind of her own. Just as suddenly, she jerked them away from her heated skin. Harper felt as though she was on fire, but she wouldn’t cave into her body’s demands. Touching herself would definitely alleviate the fire burning along her skin, but it would feel empty.

Or at least that’s what she told herself over and over again. Another string of curses flowed from her lips and she kicked her heels against the bed. Taking a deep breath, Harper stared up at the ceiling. It didn’t off her any profound insight. Not that she actually expected any and if it had shared anything, Harper might have felt the urge to check herself into a hospital.
